Art Reproduction and Documenting Exhibition- Emily Tracy

«What Do We Hold Dear?»
I am very happy to share one of my last works for @emilytracyart. This co-created permanent wall-based artwork for the interior of the public building All Saints View, an Independent living housing unit. Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire.

Emily used objects to explore what is important to the local community and to gather and share stories. The final piece presents a community collection, curated by older residents, and through conversation with residents of Houghton Regis, including the local school, The Houghton Regis Historical Society, at a series of public events and workshops. We invited residents to bring along personal treasured objects to be photographed, and through this process we also created of series of seven podcasts which can be listened to via QR codes on a smart phone. The collection includes objects and images which have both personal and community significance; a treasured sport trophy, a child’s shoe, and a holiday snap. We photographed these objects in a Pop Up Studio that we built in Houghton Regis
